Customizing you lace wig is easier than what it seems. First you have to bleach your knots. Mix 20 volume developer and lighter until you get a thick consistency. Apply it to your lace for 10-15 minutes. Shampoo and condition thoroughly.
Then you customize the hairline. Using a comb part abut 2 inch of hair, go in with your tweezers and thin out any sections that seem too thick or unnatural.
Finally, you can skip this step if you don’t like baby hair. Take a thin layer of hair from the hairline and cut it to about an inch. Apply mouse or hairspray using a edge brush and slick the baby hairs in place.
How do I install my lace wig?
Installing your lace wig can be a very time consuming process, but the more time, the more effort, the natural your install will look. First, put on your wig cap and the wig. Once the wig is on your have to cut your lace, make sure to use your hairline as a guide. Don’t cut too close to the lace as it can look unnatural.
After, you can either apply adhesives such as Ghost Bond. Apply a thin layer on your forehead close to your hairline. Use a blow dryer on the cool setting for 1-2 minutes until the glue becomes clear. Repeat. The more layers of glue the longer the install.
Lastly, apply your wig. Start with the middle lay down your lace and flatten it with a comb. Then move to your outer corners.
